Domain Names
The domain name must be purchased on an annual basis. The first purchase must be for a minimum of two years with a maximum of ten year. After the initial purchase, you may renew your domain name for a minimum of one year or a maximum of nine years.

What restrictions are there for choosing a domain name?
The only valid characters for domain names are letters, numbers and hyphens (-).
Other characters such as underscores (_) or exclamation points (!) cannot be used.
Domain names cannot begin with a hyphen, and a hyphen cannot be the last character before the top-level domain (.COM, .NET, .ORG, etc.). For example, you cannot register domain names that match the format below:
-example.com
example-.com
There are several other rules that depend on what type of domain name you are registering.
COM and NET
These domain names must have a minimum of two characters before the COM or NET portion of the domain name. They cannot exceed 63 characters before the COM or NET portion of the domain name
ORG, BIZ, INFO, US, CN, COM.CN, NET.CN, and ORG.CN
These domain names must have a minimum of three characters before the ORG, BIZ, INFO, US, CN, COM.CN, NET.CN, or ORG.CN portion of the domain name. They cannot exceed 63 characters before the ORG, BIZ, INFO, US, CN, COM.CN, NET.CN, or ORG.CN portion of the domain name.
WS
These domain names must have a minimum of four characters before the WS portion of the domain name
They cannot exceed 63 characters before the WS portion of the domain name.
